MICK McLEAN
gets an Australia Badge Awarded for his umpiring achievements at the U21 Nationals in Melbourne.
Mick umpired juniors for three years aged 15-18, and then started umpiring again at 23 years when he claims “it was punishment for being sent off twice in one match.
The old man made me umpire a senior match. It was the first time I really appreciated what an umpire had to do.
I really enjoy having the opportunity to be out on the field with really good players.”
Mick hopes to continue officiating at the highest level possible. |
